psalm 42 v 5

” Why, my soul, are you downcast?
Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God,
for I will yet praise him,
my Savior and my God.”

What is the reasoning in your why.  Is it disappointment, is it pain, or is it that you feel injustice was done.  There are seasons when an individual may experience sadness, melancholy, dejection and an emotional low.    Sometimes this overwhelming feeling may just creep up.  It can bring on confusion due to fear that brings the question of WHY.   It is ok to ask yourself why, as it opens the door to look within to find the cause of this sad emotion and allow the light to shine on the darkness that tried to overshadow you.  WHY is what you ask yourself even though you were not clear that the answer could come from you.  David asked himself why.  He spoke to his soul which is his mind, emotion and will.   He questioned himself which brought him to a place where his focus should be.  The extent of his despair had him in a place where he could not see the light. He did not have peace and felt all hope was lost forever.

Today you might have a WHY, many reasons may come to you but put your hope in God, trust him and wait patiently.  Do not isolate yourself, do not stay angry at yourself.  Forgive yourself and forgive others. Get in the presence of God and He will restore you.  Shalom
